ARCADE seeks to redefine the vintage retail landscape through a contemporary lens. Through our collaborations with vintage collectors and curators, we present unique capsule collections in our Brooklyn storefront and our eCommerce site. We are looking for someone to join our team as an assistant manager and key holder.

The Salesperson/ Key Holder will support our team by managing the store's day-to-day operations, including sales and customer service, social media content creation, and liaison with our vendor consignors. They will assist in growing our eCommerce presence and sales, fulfilling online orders, and identifying and implementing new growth opportunities. They will contribute to an efficient workspace through general shop maintenance, upkeep, and merchandising. Applicants should be highly motivated and able to adapt to a rapidly shifting environment. There is an opportunity for growth for those passionate about eCommerce, virtual sales, and live trade show event space. An ideal candidate will have some experience in retail, fashion, vintage, eCommerce, and/or social media.

Responsibilities to include

  • Open and close physical store
  • Customer service and sales
  • Merchandising and seasonal floor changes
  • Tracking of inventory, running sales reports, setting and meeting goals
  • Managing virtual appointments, online events, and web sales through our social media and eCommerce
  • General shop assisting including email, maintaining a calendar, shipping, and receiving
  • Some travel may be required
  • Weekend hours required

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in retail, especially in the vintage space is helpful
  • Shopify or other eCommerce experience
  • Fluency in social media
  • Some knowledge of graphic design and image editing software including Illustrator, Photoshop, and Lightroom
  • Microsoft Office, Google Sheets

ARCADE is a retail concept shop brought to you by the community behind A Current Affair. Our online shop features a weekly release of hand picked vintage.

The Product Photographer is responsible for producing high quality digital images of products and models. The Product Photographer is also tasked with keeping the photo studio organized, accessible and safe for Photography staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Photograph products and/or models to be used on Arcade Shops Vintage E-Commerce site. Edit and upload product images on the same day using Lightroom
  • Have a network of models and be able to communicate with models for photoshoots
  • Arrange still life objects, products, props, and backgrounds in order to create the desired photographic effect
  • Edit and upload photos on the same day when taking photoshoots with models
  • Ensure a high level of technical quality and aesthetics for all photography created and distributed
  • Provide creative support to other Photographers on assignments
  • Organize the photography studio so that all props and equipment are quickly and safely accessible. Clean-up and organization will be done on a daily bases
  • Maintain photography equipment by providing routine maintenance on cameras, lenses, etc.

Qualifications:

  • BFA in Photography or equivalent experience in digital studio photography required
  • Must have at least 2 years of work experience as a digital photographer in a studio environment in which studio lighting was utilized
  • Must have a working knowledge of Panasonic digital cameras
  • Must be proficient with Macintosh operating system, Lightroom, Photoshop, and Dropbox
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with constantly shifting priorities
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule and 8+ hours on certain days to meet the needs of the business
  • Must be able and willing to lift and carry up to 10 lbs., perform frequent repetitive finger, hand, and wrist motions, as well as bending, stooping, reaching, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling

We are looking for someone to join our team to manage marketing, graphics, copywriting, and communication across our various platforms and brands.

The Marketing and E-Commerce Copywriting Lead will support our small team through the development and implementation of a brand voice and aesthetic, including graphic design for our website arcadeshops.com. They will be tasked with leading our e-commerce arcadeshops.com, developing visual guidelines, writing compelling copy for email marketing, online collections, and product, and identifying and implementing new opportunities for growth. Applicants should be highly motivated and able to adapt to a rapidly shifting environment. There is an opportunity for growth for those passionate about e-commerce, virtual sales, and live trade show event space. An ideal candidate will have graphic design and copywriting experience, with experience in fashion a plus.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Write selling copy for email marketing, landing pages, product pages, digital ads, and blogs
  • Design compelling graphics for weekly marketing campaigns, collection and landing pages, collateral, special events, and pop-ups
  • Create product listings for an e-commerce marketplace
  • Participate and contribute in creative brainstorming and collaborative work with the team
  • Appraise and edit your own work, and bring a sharp eye for detail to every round of a project
  • Write copy and design visuals based on strategy, concept/idea, target audience, brand, and brand guidelines
  • Develop and implement appropriate tone and visual language for brand personality
  • Update managers regarding issues and recommendations for improvement or correction
  • Apply knowledge of various social media platforms/trends to writing

Experience:

  • 2 years of copywriting experience at a clothing retail/e-commerce brand or digital marketing agency is required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Creative copywriting, grammar, spelling, written and verbal communication skills
  • Deep understanding of fashion copywriting. Vintage clothing copywriting experience is a plus
  • Able to use Adobe Illustrator to create email marketing campaigns
  • Proficiency with Adobe creative suite, especially Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok Proficiency- strong overall knowledge of the social media landscape
  • Must have a foundational understanding of the eCommerce industry/landscape. Knowledge of Shopify, CSV product file system, and email marketing tools(Mailchimp, Omnisend)
  • Ability to run ads on Facebook, Instagram, and Google. Report on and analyze campaign preformation to drive continuous improvement and testing
